The church where Suzy and Jay exchanged their vows was tucked away on a little piece of land that I had never seen before.  We took many tiny and twisting roads to get there.  It was small, intimate, and built with wooden beams capable of  withstanding the challenges it would inevitably face.  It was strong…weathered…filled with secret corners of intimacy where light brilliantly shone through.

Lyrics lined the aisle where the two of them stood and laughter filled the pews where they looked out beyond.  Life filled this church.

Being inside of it made you feel like safe…made you feel welcome…made you feel home.  Sanctuary and truth could be found within its walls…and it made you want to stay just a little bit longer.

Suzy and Jay found the most perfect place to get married.  Because they found a place that was just like them and the life they were creating together.
