One of the things that I love most about motherhood, is how it all changes.  How we change as parents and people in the midst of it all.

I remember such a difference in how I carried myself between having our first and our second, and looking back, it sometimes amazes me that I ever got to a point in which I even remotely felt confident.

Those first early weeks as a new parent were so different than anything I ever could have imagined and just as our son was growing in leaps and bounds, as each week passed, I changed right along with him.  It was almost as though we grew into each other.

I’ve had the privilege of watching these two together at three different stages.  Each one entirely unique…each one exciting in its own way…each one completely beautiful.

This last one, however, is my favourite so far!  Being pregnant is filled with anticipation…being a brand new parent is filled with adrenaline…but being here – just seemed right.  It seemed peaceful and playful and perfectly meant to be.

It seemed like a lifetime in the making…
