Okay…confession…

I never actually saw Star Wars until sometime after I got married!

I can’t really remember how the conversation came up but, Steve and I were sitting on the floor of our apartment sometime in the months after we got married and within that conversation, I mentioned that I had never seen Stars Wars…or Return of the Jedi…or Empire Strikes Back.  At the very least, I hadn’t seen it in any capacity that stood out in my memory.

This was simply unfathomable to my new husband.  Up until this point, I never realized how important it was for boys to educate their favourite girls on the likes on Yoda and C3PO!  Steve was so bothered by this truth that we proceeded to spend the next two days watching all three movies!  Honestly, I didn’t think that they were that great, but seeing how excited Steve was to be watching them made it worth the six hours of my weekend!!!

It did start an entirely new admiration for me though…I started to love trilogies!  As a person who swoons over storytelling, I just love the depth that you can get into over the course of three movies without completely desaturating the plot!  It’s brilliant!  So pretty soon, our house began to fill with our favourite trilogies; Lord of the Rings, the Matrix, Ocean’s 11 {and 12 and 13!} and of course, Star Wars {for the record, we don’t count the new ones as part of the originals…just call us film snobs!!}.

So here we go, in the grand tradition that is any great trilogy…part two of Kristen and Aaron’s engagement session!  You may have remembered part one from back in December when we {read: they!} got cozy under some blankets in the chilly winter air?  Well here we are, for a little summer breeze to compliment the cold!  And the very best part about this shoot?  It means that part three…the big day…the grand finale…is just around the corner!  And I can hardly wait!
