I get asked all the time if I ever get bored of weddings.  And considering that I’m just shy of shooting my 100th wedding, it would stand to reason that the novelty has worn off by now.  But the truth is, weddings just aren’t the same as they used to be.

Weddings nowadays tend to express just as much creativity and personal taste as anything else we do in life, and as a result…I could spend an entire season barely having seen two weddings alike.

Like anything else though, there are trends and styles that come with every passing year.  Colours, details, hemlines.  The world declares a favourite and we ride its wave until the next ones make an appearance.

But there are certain things that never go out of style.

Roses.  Bow ties.  Luscious curls.  Fine china.

These things have and always will, withstand the test of time.

Classic.  Elegant.  Refined.

It’s everything that was Sarah and Alex’s wedding day.  From the intimate guest list, to the iconic venue, to the classic waltz.

Twenty-five years from now, the tone of their wedding day will be just as stylish and polished as it was today.

And let’s be honest…no one ever gets bored of that.
