I get asked a lot if I ever get tired of weddings…if the repetitive nature of attending them every weekend wears on me after awhile.
And the honest truth is that weddings simply aren’t what they used to be. Weddings aren’t necessarily conventional or standard or traditional anymore…so it’s hard to get tired of something that is seldom ever the same.
Weddings have become an expression of personality, style and priorities. They tell the story of two people coming together and the road that brought them there. It’s a way of honouring who they collectively were…as they move forward with who they are about to become.
For Lisa and Eric, that was about intimacy.
It was about the group of people that helped make them strong and brave and anchored. It was about celebrating the true meaning of walking through life with others regardless of what was happening. It was about the most beautiful ceremony in the park…on the most beautiful of summer days!
Honestly, I love all weddings in their unique and personal ways. From the giant gatherings to the elopements on a cliff.
But this…THIS…was something that made my hopelessly romantic heart skip an extra beat!
