Okay, so I’m going to be completely honest here for a second and outright tell you that I’m not exactly the most adventurous person!  Don’t get me wrong, I love to travel and see new places…I’m always up for getting lost every now and then…and I would certainly say that risking everything to start my own business would fall under the category of “heart-palpitating-adrenaline-pumping-free-falling-adventure” but, when it comes to the simple pleasures in life…I don’t really like to take my chances!

I like to order the same things from the same restaurants…my wardrobe is really just a variation of the same pieces over and over again…I even travel with my own jar of peanut butter.  Some would call this boring, but I like to call it traditional…classic!

But there is one area in my life in which I do consider best when there is a little added spice…a little something different.  And that’s a wedding!  I just love when couples break out of the conventions of a traditional wedding in order to add a touch of their own personality.  And I don’t just love this as a photographer, but I love it as a creative person who sees endless potential in the expression of self.

Kristin & Chris are the perfect example of a couple who embraced their wedding as the perfect opportunity to show the very best of their joint personalities!  It started with a beautiful and intimate ceremony at their home and ended with an elegant and stunning reception at Lago {with a slight “repeat ceremony”} along Dows Lake.  All in all, inspiring is the word I would use to sum up the day.  It was stifling hot during their wedding and our time together was fairly limited but coming away from their celebration made me not only want to embrace more of myself but it made me want to enjoy the process of discovering that self.

Kristin and Chris…it has been an absolute pleasure sharing in your lives over the last couple of weeks.  Thank you for the beautiful way that you both look at life and the creativity that you bring to everything around you.  Thank you for trusting me with your wonderful day and most of all…thank you for just being you!  You couldn’t be more awesome!
