I’m not someone who tends to handle change very well. I’m a creature of habit. Driven by routine.
For me, nothing is more comforting than the familiar…the understood…the happy place between what I know and what I want to do.
Kirsten and Chris are the photographic equivalent of going home. They are the comforting faces in a season of newness. They are familiar.
They are familiar to me…to you…and to the ease of being in front of my camera. You’ve seen them here for their engagement…their wedding…and now, as they prepare for the best adventure of their lives.
Kirsten and Chris are an anchor for me over the course of my own adventure. The one behind the camera.
And as we all trek along this road of new surprises and anticipated journeys…we still manage to find each other. Sometimes in the depths of winter among the forest…or tucked away during the great flood of Autumn’s inevitable chaos…and this time, amongst the unexpected perfection of a September day along the St. Lawrence River.
We’ve seen it all together…we’ve weathered it all together…and we’ve always made magic together.
Kirsten and Chris…please don’t ever stop being familiar…
Genevieve..just when I didn’t think I could feel more love and emotion you post these absolutely stunning pic’s..you my dear are amazing…I can hardly wait to meet my new grandson…xxooDeb
