I almost always meet all of my couples before booking with them.  Usually, they are in Ottawa and it’s easy enough to do…and mostly, I believe the relationship between a couple and their wedding photographer should never be gambled.  It’s simply too essential a partnership to risk not being a very good match for each other.

However, there are times when it isn’t always possible.  Proximity and urgency are usually the two biggest factors and as a result, we take a chance!  We move forward and hope that the chemistry will work out in the end!  It’s not unlike dating!!

In those rare instances when I don’t meet a couple first…it always leaves me very curious about that first meeting.  More often than not, that encounter is while photographing their engagement session and in do so, you’re taking the chance that things could go bad in all sorts of ways!!

I didn’t get to meet Liza and Nick before booking them.  Circumstance just didn’t allow us to do so.  Until one beautiful Friday evening, we met in the parking lot of Starbucks…grabbed a coffee…changed outfits…and started our new found wedding relationship all at once!

And let me tell you…it was a raging success!  So awesome that I would almost risk forgoing meeting any of my clients first if they all turned out as great as these two!!!

So, off we went…to put all of that awesomeness in front of my camera!!
