When I was young, our family used to go to a cottage in the Muskokas.  It was small, rustic and right on the lake.  Every time we would go there, our time would be spent canoeing, having campfires and playing Monopoly by candlelight until all hours of the morning.  Just thinking about time at the cottage makes me calm and relaxed.

So many of my favourite childhood memories take place among those trees and I can’t wait for my own kids to experience the same natural escape one day.

After having spent some time with Jen and Mike, it became evident that a cottage really was the perfect setting for this couple!  They are laid-back, fun loving, and just being around them makes you calmer!

Despite the relentless bugs, they smiled…they laughed…they canoed!  They were in their element…and you could tell!  In a few short weeks, I’ll join them as they get married in front of their friends and family…but for now…it’s just us and the lake…
