I was in grade eleven when I took chemistry.  I was also in grade eleven when I nearly failed chemistry!  Partially because of the devastatingly handsome guy that sat in front of me during class…and partially because from the first moment I walked through the classroom doors…it was evident that this science was lost on me.  Despite it’s order and reason…chemistry just never made sense to me.  Ever.  I struggled through the entire semester and ultimately, just scraped by with a passing grade.  But even now…it’s never been something that’s come easily to me.

Now, something that has always come easily to me though…is understanding the chemistry that happened because of the cute guy that relentlessly distracted me during class.  That kind of chemistry, I understood!  It’s easy to recognize what happens in those moments; the butterflies in your stomach…the shortening of breath…the speech that turns you into a blundering idiot with every passing moment [or is that just me?!?!]!

I think we all know this feeling well…some, maybe even too well!  But even more powerful is the reaction that occurs between two people that just can’t be explained.  We see it…we feel it…we know its there…and yet, there’s no explanation for it other than there’s just something between them.  Something unique…something intense…something beautiful passionate.

Being around Camille and Shahram often felt like you might suddenly get struck by lightning at any given moment.  Their chemistry was simply that amazing.  From the very first frames out of my camera [literally!]…they were completely at ease within their own little orbit.  And let me tell you…this is a photographer’s dream!

So, without further ado…get ready to feel the butterflies…
