The really great thing about photographing other photographers is that they “get” you.  You know, in a “that’s-the-most-ridiculous-idea-I’ve-ever-heard-and-I-like-it” kind of get you!  They see possibility where others might not and the risk is always worth taking!

Julie-Anne and David are very familiar with the flip side of the camera and therefore, they get me.  Or rather, we get each other!  And that’s a beautiful thing!

When we were arranging the final details of their engagement shoot, Mother Nature was also arranging a rather tumultuous snow storm to come pounding our way at about the same time.

“How bad can it be?” we thought from the comfort of our living rooms when the decision to go forth was made!  “It will look awesome”, we convinced ourselves when we finally met up and the snow had begun to fall.  “It will only be cold for a little while”, we muttered through chattering teeth when the temperature plummeted ten degrees in an hour!!!

So, I suppose now is as good a time as any to admit that our ideas aren’t necessarily good ones!  But nonetheless…we carry on!

We lasted forty-five minutes before the cold, wind and snow became too much for all of us!  We did our best to remind ourselves that it seemed like a good idea at the time and then finished off with what any logical person would do…we went to Starbucks!!
