Superheroes.  There’s just something about them.

In a world that needs more acts of courage…we look for them around every corner.

And ever since having a son, I’ve learned a lot more about them!  They’re strong…they help others…and they are the bravest people you’ll ever meet.  And if you’re lucky…you get to wear a cool outfit too!

But if you were to ask my six year old boy about his favourite superhero, he’s not going to say Batman or Superman or Spiderman.  He’s not going to point you in the direction of a cartoon movie or a comic book.  He’s not going to pick someone who can fly or has superpowers from an insect bite.

He’s going to look for the big red truck.  Because, as far as he’s concerned, firemen are the greatest superheroes of all!

And I don’t think I could have been more excited for my son when he got to meet his real life superhero, Jordan…also known as, one of my wonderful grooms!  But perhaps cutest of all, was when we walked away from the fire station – all played out and feeling larger than life – and my boy asked me “Mama, who is Jordan’s girl??  Every superhero has a special girl!”

Truer words have never been spoken!
