We all have them.  Something.  Something that makes those really awful days a little bit better.  Maybe it’s a good book buried under the bed covers…a glass of wine with a good friend…cheesecake with your favourite television show.  Or maybe it’s just taking two Tylenol and waiting patiently until morning!

One of my favourites is a bag of M&Ms while watching Gilmore Girls…or a couple of hours to myself at Starbucks with my journal.  Extreme measures usually call for more extreme remedies; like a bath…a glass of white wine and chocolate cheesecake…not necessarily in that order…but sometimes all at once!

But there is the odd time when even my best laid plans don’t pull through.  When the days are so hard…the waking hours so long…and the challenges so overwhelming…that you just throw your hands up and wave the white flag.

That was pretty much how I was feeling on the evening that I was set to meet Laura and Warren for their portrait session.  My head hurt…my soul was tired…and the day had already declared its victory.  At that point, I had given up hope that things would turn around.

But I was wrong…

Within minutes of chatting with Laura and Warren…I was beginning to feel better.  My mood was lifting…my smile was erupting…and I was suddenly enjoying the very best part of my day.  Because there’s just something about them!  They are two of the easiest people to be around and together, they just make the world better…brighter…funnier.

They are just the perfect remedy for a worn down day.

And hopefully, our time spent together with them in front of my camera will do this couple’s awesomeness at least a little bit of justice!
