I would never consider myself a naturally spontaneous person. I’m a planner. Always am…always have been.
I feel like life is so full of unpredictable events, that I find comfort in holding on to what I can control. I like knowing what to expect. I like having a grip on whatever possible. It helps me to feel less afraid.
But whenever I’m with Julie and Geoff…something happens. Something changes. Something loosens its grip.
Whenever I’m with Julie and Geoff…there are no plans. We meet…we chat…and we end up going wherever the wind [or canoe!] takes us. We chase light and tides and adventures. They make me spontaneous. We end up on cliffs in the middle of snowstorms or in rivers in the middle of solitude. But wherever we end up…I always come out of it having let go of something. Usually something that I cling to all too tight.
And I leave feeling as though letting go of control is less about falling into chaos…and more about embracing the unexpected.
And I love these two for that.
Here’s to letting go…here’s to the unexpected…here’s to the greatest adventure of all…
Fabulous pics. Totally caught their personality. Love them all.
An amazing couple! Can’t wait for the baby photos
