It tends to happen right around the same time every year. Between the middle of August and early October. The messages in my inbox pile up with requests to do family portrait sessions. And as most of you know, I seldom take them on. Mostly, because I don’t have the availability during that time of year. But also, because I genuinely find it rather challenging to switch from “wedding mode” to “family mode”…from bridal parties to sibling dynamics. It can be a bit tricky for me!
So when I do accept a commission for family portraits…it’s a rare and precious occasion! The kind that calls for cheesecake!
When the email first showed up about photographing three sisters…I was smitten! It was so lovely and sweet and I simply couldn’t resist! When I later found myself driving to Mont Ste-Marie over Thanksgiving weekend – the trees looking like they had just been painted a million shades of orange – I knew that one of my favourite sessions yet was just minutes away!
And these beautiful sisters didn’t disappoint! In fact, I may have left a little piece of myself behind that day! With their gorgeous smiles, adorable personalities and willingness to do something a little out of the ordinary…I just might have to show up on their doorstep every year!!
Without further ado…three little ladies that stole my heart…
