I just love that everyone has a story.  Everyone.  I love that every single person you pass on the street or every single person you stand with in line at Starbucks…has a story.  Their own story.  A compelling story.  And best of all, it’s a story that’s never been told before and will never be told again, because this road that we walk…this life that we live…is one of a kind.  The experiences that we have and relationship with those experiences creates a fingerprint that can never be duplicated.  It remains forever unique…forever our own.

One of my most favourite parts of what I do is hearing people’s stories.  Because the path that led them to me…that led them to a moment that calls for a camera…is always a story worth telling…

What I love so much about marriage {or any beautiful relationship, for that matter}, is that the story becomes interwoven all of the sudden.  All of our threads become linked together and the story is no longer about just us anymore.  In reality, the story is never just about us…but in relationships, our story becomes something that we don’t just live together…but we experience together.

Fallon and Jonathan are getting married in two days.  The road that led them here was filled with various challenges as the story of what they have experienced together is extraordinary.  In their years together just as a couple, they will likely have lived through more than most of us will throughout our entire lives.  And yet, they are one of the most grounded and peaceful couples I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.  They are fun…they are gracious…they are a reminder that – together – our stories can be anything we want them to be.

So, this Saturday, they will celebrate the start of a much deserved chapter in their life.  They will celebrate something new…something exciting…something a very long time in the making.
