I would never call myself a spontaneous person.  I’m a planner.  I’m routine.  I’m neurotic when it comes to knowing what’s next.  Just going on vacation with me requires the mental and logistical preparation of a space shuttle launch!!

Having said that though, I love spontaneous people.  And when I say love…I mean, capital L…capital O…capital V…capital E.  Period!  LOVE.  Spontaneous people are so magnetic to me.  I love them because they live the most amazing stories.  They have the most amazing adventures.  They create the most amazing memories.  And every now and then, if I’m really lucky…they invite me to come along for the ride!!

I was actually sitting at the Smyth Family kitchen table over Christmas when I received the email from Julie and Geoff regarding the prospect of shooting their wedding.  In three weeks!  For a person who is usually booked twelve to eighteen months in advance…just the sight of those two words gave me heart palpitations!  Three weeks!

But there was just something about them.  Something about their excitement.  Something about their enthusiasm.  Something about Julie’s desire to just “put on a wedding dress and grab a cup of coffee”.  The deal was ultimately done when they lured me in with the promise of an outdoor shoot and eggs Benedict!

And so it happened!  Three weeks later, I found myself heading out of the house at the crack of dawn – coffee in hand – en route to Westport to spend the morning with this couple that I simply couldn’t resist!  And what a morning it was!  We laughed…we bundled up for the cold…we ate great food…and we made a little stop in the midst of it all to visit some dearly missed loved ones.

We were…spontaneous.  And I loved it.

And ultimately…I loved them.  These people.  This couple.

A couple that brought me new friends…a thousand smiles…and Sunday brunch like nobody’s business!  A couple who lives the most amazing stories…has the most amazing adventures…and creates the most amazing memories!

A couple that I’m absolutely sure you’re going to love too…
