I think there’s something to be said for the people we spend time with…the people we choose to keep in our company…the people we call our own. There is something to be said for the tribe we create. I think you can tell a lot about a person by their friends; the way they treat each other and strangers who come into the group. And ideally, these people represent you well.
My favourite type of emails to receive, are the ones that start with…”you photographed my friend’s wedding…”. Because, right away, I know I’m dealing with amazing people.
When I first met Megan and Ryan for coffee on a freezing cold day last winter…it was love at first laugh!! Because laughing is pretty much a constant thing for these two…our love was deep! And it’s not at all surprising considering that their wedding was basically of giant reunion of some of my most adored couples. After all…wonderful attracts wonderful.
So, on this day, when two of the loveliest people joined together, in weather that was sixty degrees warmer than the day we photographed their engagement session; we danced…we laughed…and we raised a glass to choosing carefully. Choosing our loves…choosing our friends…choosing our tribes…
