Our family is trying to mentally prepare for the death of a family member soon. And we’ve never had to do this before. After twelve years of being a couple, my husband and I have never had to endure this type of thing within our immediate family. It means we are navigating new territory…new emotions…a new way of spending the holidays. It means that – even after twelve years together – we’re still learning about each other.
And that’s the thing that they never mention in wedding magazines; that marriage is a constant process of learning and growing and experiencing both the joys and trials of life together. It’s not just about pretty flowers and a great party [in fact, it’s not about that at all – that’s a wedding…not a marriage]. Marriage is about being brave…being honest…and realizing that you are in this together. Always.
If anyone knows this before even being married…it’s Ashley and Dan. Two people who have stared life’s choices right in the face and made the bravest of decisions. Decisions that make them stronger…make them truer to each other…and make them so incredibly ready for life together!
In ten short days, we’ll watch these two officially become one…and it will be wonderful and amazing and full of love.
But most of all…it will be the perfect time!
So, stay tuned…their wedding will be right around the corner…
But, first…
Love these beautiful pictures and these beautiful people!!!!
