I love new beginnings with such immense passion.

I love New Years Day and the first page of a new book.  I love birthdays and that first week of a new seasons.  I love early mornings and brand new clothes before they’ve been washed.

There’s just something about that new “first” feeling!  And the same goes for the beginning of my photography season.

I try very hard to declare a self-imposed break somewhere within my season; a small time of renewal.  It doesn’t have to be a long time…but my mind and my creativity need a chance to rest a bit.  Which also gives me the opportunity to bring a new beginning to the work that I love!

And on a bitterly cold winter day, with the sun shining brightly, Kendra and Kyle became that the new beginning.  The first couple from my 2017 roster to make an appearance — these two reminded me all about that exciting feeling of knowing that an amazing wedding season is just around the corner.

Here’s to rest and renewal…new beginnings…a couple that shows us just how good winter can really look!!
